The legacy of Mayor Shults?

After collecting tens of thousands of dollars from developers the mayor has decided on his legacy. What do you think? Did the mayor have anything to do with this project? (where was he when the council voted it down?) What do you think his “legacy” should be? I personally think that doing the correct thing for the citizens would be a great legacy. I would think that being honorable, forthright, and truthful would be a great legacy. I believe you do what is correct and good for the city and the “legacy” will take care of itself.

I guess we should be glad he didn't try to take credit for the sun coming up this morning.

As I've said, this is all about ego. The idea of a legacy should be the last thing in the minds of our elected officials. How about just doing the job to which you were elected, Jerry?

(And just think of all the really grand things our mayor will be able to accomplish for us once he hires his administrative assistant / telephone clerk with a masters degree)

This new proposed project is quite frightening. It will change League City forever. What have been the bastions of luxury housing, will be come the old part of town in the shadow of this new project. Prices for housing in South Shore will plummet. Just a thought.

Seems to me that the LC market is already in serious danger of being overbuilt, regardless of the new project(s) east of 45. Hundreds of new homes proposed near Kemah, more being built both in the new part of SSH and Tuscan Lakes. I just don't see the long-term demand, unless there is massive migration and job creation in the metro area that no one has noticed. This would not be the first developer to invest millions based on a flawed market analysis.

I think that the change in our council and the new positive direction being guided by our new council (no thanks to the mayor who’s personal hit man opposed certain council members in their bid for office) has caused the masses to flock to the greatest city and school district in the world !!!

Would you be referring to the mayor's personal hit man who has an MBA degree, wears a LC police uniform and carries a gun? Didn't some council candidates also pay him for his advice and wisdom as to how they could become one of his bosses?
